Why So Short?

Like many writers, I read. A lot. I subscribe to a few blogs, a few newsletters, a few writer co-op daily messages. Even these select few, which I asked to get delivered to my inbox, sometimes get deleted without being read. Don’t get me started on Pinterest. If I click on a link for a recipe that it takes me to a blog…thanks but no thanks. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

I’m reminded of a meme, with full disclosure that this is not my idea and I wish I could give credit to the clever person who came up with it. It ran something like, “If I ever commit a murder, I’m going to confess in the middle of a recipe blog. No one will ever know.” Truer words were never spoken.

So until I have something earth-shattering to say, or readers are clamoring to know what I’m thinking about today, I’ll stick with my musings. Short and sweet, just a few thoughts that run through my brain. Maybe you’ll be intrigued, maybe it will make you smile. Maybe you’ll think, “Yeah, what she said.” Or, “Yikes, she’s jumped the shark this time.” Either way, at most you’ll be out two minutes of your day. I promise, it’s not a big commitment.
